Welcome!  I'm a passionate cook and dedicated eater.  This is my place to share recipes--some that I've made up, some that I've modified, and some that I found elsewhere that are just too good not to share. If you're looking for my main blog, you can find it here.

Here's my food philosophy:  whole foods.  Plant-based.  From scratch.  I like to cook from my garden as much as possible, and as a vegetarian (who eats fish on occasion), I don't post about meat-based cooking, although you can find some in the archives.  And did I mention that I am passionate about taste?  I will not eat food that is "healthy" but tastes like straw.  You won't find any of that here. 

In fact, when I first switched to a whole foods plant-based lifestyle, I found myself asking (as a previous Julia Child devotee), "What is left to eat?  Beans?  Anything else?  How can I make it taste good without butter?"  This blog is the answer to that question--the food you'll find here is a celebration of the tastebuds, focused on best-quality ingredients in their natural form, lovingly and carefully prepared. 

Fair warning:  I am passionate about food.  I will quite happily spend most of the day cooking.  Many of my recipes begin several hours in advance (baking breads, roasting vegetables, etc.)--but since I do have four small children, I also select recipes that don't require incredible amounts of hands-on crisis mode time!
